Can Someone Really Draw Your Soulmate? We Looked at What a Soulmate Sketch Actually Is

What if someone could sketch the person you are destined to meet? We explore the idea behind soulmate sketches, what you actually receive, and whether this unusual personalised experience is worth trying.

The idea sounds improbable. Perhaps that’s exactly why it’s so intriguing.

Imagine opening your email and finding a pencil drawing of someone you’ve never met.

According to the person who created it, this isn’t simply a random portrait. It’s a sketch of the person who could be your soulmate.

Would you dismiss it immediately? Or would part of you be curious enough to look?

We came across Tina Aldea’s Soulmate Sketch while exploring some of the more unusual services being offered online. It combines a personalised portrait with a psychic-style relationship reading and is sold through ClickBank.

We can’t tell you whether anyone can genuinely see your future soulmate. There isn’t scientific evidence establishing that psychic readings can identify a future romantic partner.

But that isn’t quite the same question as whether the experience might be interesting.

So we looked at what you actually receive.

What is a soulmate sketch?

The premise is surprisingly simple.

Tina Aldea is presented as a psychic artist who uses information supplied by the customer, together with what she describes as intuitive or psychic impressions, to create a portrait of a potential soulmate.

The resulting drawing is then sent digitally, together with a written reading describing the person and aspects of the potential relationship. Current descriptions of the service say that customers provide basic personal information and receive the results by email.

It isn’t a dating service and it isn’t matching you with another person in a database. You aren’t being introduced to the person in the picture.

It’s better understood as a personalised spiritual or entertainment experience built around the idea of romantic destiny.

And that’s probably the most sensible way to approach it.

Why would anyone want a picture of someone they haven’t met?

This was the part we found more interesting than the psychic claim itself.

People have always been fascinated by the question of who they will eventually meet.

Will it happen through work? Through friends? Completely by accident?

Will there be an immediate attraction, or will a relationship develop gradually?

A soulmate sketch gives that uncertainty a face.

You might believe there’s something genuinely intuitive behind it. You might regard it purely as entertainment. Or you might sit somewhere between the two.

Either way, there’s something rather compelling about opening the finished drawing and wondering:

Could I ever meet someone who looks like this?

What do you actually receive?

The current offer is described as a digital package rather than a physical drawing sent through the post.

The core product includes a personalised portrait and a written psychic-style reading about the potential soulmate. Current promotional information also describes additional digital relationship material being included with the standard order.

So don’t order expecting a framed pencil drawing to arrive at your house.

What you’re buying is the experience of having the reading created and receiving the results digitally.

There may also be optional upgrades or additional offers during the purchasing process, so it’s worth looking at exactly what you’re selecting before completing an order.

Is the drawing really your future soulmate?

This is where we need to separate the interesting idea from something that can actually be demonstrated.

The seller’s proposition is based on psychic and intuitive abilities. We haven’t found scientific evidence that a psychic artist can determine the physical appearance of a person you will eventually meet.

That means we wouldn’t buy this expecting a scientifically validated prediction of your future partner.

But that’s not necessarily why everybody buys something like this.

People spend money on personality tests, astrology readings, tarot readings and countless other experiences because they enjoy reflecting on themselves and their future.

For some people, the attraction is simply curiosity.

What will the drawing look like?

Will it resemble anyone they already know?

Will they remember the picture if they meet somebody similar several years from now?

Those are subjective questions rather than scientific ones.

There is another reason we would keep expectations realistic

There are online complaints questioning how individual or genuinely hand-created some soulmate sketches are. We haven’t independently ordered and examined enough sketches to determine how representative those complaints are, so we wouldn’t state either that every drawing is individually hand-drawn or that they aren’t.

That uncertainty is worth knowing before purchasing.

The seller describes the product as personalised and hand-drawn; some customers online have questioned that description.

For us, that makes the appropriate expectation fairly straightforward:

Buy it because you’re curious about the experience, not because you’re relying upon it to make an important decision about your relationships.

So, is it worth trying?

That depends almost entirely on what you expect from it.

If you’re looking for proof of who you’re going to marry, this can’t provide that certainty.

If you’re intrigued by spirituality, psychic readings or simply unusual personalised experiences, it’s a rather different proposition.

There is something undeniably curious about receiving a portrait and then carrying that image around in your memory.

Perhaps you’ll forget about it within a week.

Perhaps you’ll show it to your friends and have a laugh about it.

Or perhaps, years from now, you’ll meet somebody and suddenly remember the drawing.

We can’t tell you which of those will happen.

And perhaps that’s the point.
